Our notary services are primarily offered in Columbia, SC, and surrounding areas, including Charlotte, NC, within a 35-mile travel radius. We reserve the right to refuse service if your location falls outside of our service area or if travel to your location presents unreasonable logistical challenges.

3. Appointment Scheduling and Cancellation

Appointments for notary services must be scheduled in advance. We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather or personal emergencies. In such cases, we will make every effort to provide you with timely notice and alternative arrangements.

4. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that all documents to be notarized are complete, accurate, and ready for signature at the time of the appointment. You must provide valid photo identification that meets the requirements of South Carolina and North Carolina notary laws. We are not responsible for verifying the content of your documents or providing legal advice. It is your responsibility to seek legal counsel if you have any questions or concerns about the legality or validity of your documents.

5. Fees and Payment

Our fees for notary services are outlined on our Pricing page. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, credit cards, and other forms of electronic payment. Additional fees may apply for travel, after-hours appointments, or other special requests. We will provide you with a detailed invoice upon completion of the notarization.

6. Limitation of Liability

SOS Notary is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use of our services, including but not limited to errors or omissions in the notarization process, delays in service, or the invalidity of documents. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the notary service. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
